Robotic Pack Dispensing Station

Model Customized

Integrated with a 6-axis robot, variable-ratio proportional pump, and 3D bead inspection module for precise automated dispensing on large workpieces such as power batteries.

Equipment overview

Product Features:

The system integrates a 55-gallon pressure plate feeding primary pump, NEV4545 transfer system, 6-axis robot, and 3D bead inspection module. Utilizing static mixing dispensing technology, it ensures high precision and consistency in two-component adhesive application.

Specifications:

Suitable Adhesives:Two-component thermal conductive adhesives, sealants, structural adhesives, and other dual-cartridge materials.

Product Applications:Power batteries, energy storage batteries, PACK enclosures, battery modules, solar photovoltaics, etc.

Product Overview

This station is a complete robotic cell for bonding and sealing large, heavy workpieces — the parts that are awkward to move onto a bench or pass under a gantry. Robot, feeding and inspection hardware are supplied as one unit and run from a single programme, so a pack can be bonded and checked without being moved between stations. Robotic adhesive dispensing systems of this size are normally specified for power battery packs, modules and energy-storage enclosures, where the bead follows a three-dimensional seam and has to stay consistent over a long path. Day to day, an operator loads the workpiece on the fixture and starts the cycle; the machine dispenses the adhesive and inspects the bead before the part is unloaded. It is aimed at production volumes, where the same pack runs repeatedly and the bead has to be right every cycle.

Station Build & Robot Cell

  • Six-axis robot arm — carries the dispenser head through multi-plane paths, so a seam that runs around and over a part can be followed instead of being split across several stations.
  • Drum-fed primary pump — a pressure plate sits on the adhesive drum and pushes material into the feed line, keeping the supply closed and cutting the number of stops needed to change drums.
  • NEV4545 transfer system — moves adhesive from the drum to the metering head and holds the feed steady while the robot is in motion.
  • Static-mixing dispenser head — the two components meet only at the mixing tube, where a static element blends them as they pass through, so nothing is pre-mixed in the supply line.
  • 3D bead inspection module — reads the bead as it is laid, so gaps, thin sections and misplaced material are picked up while the workpiece is still on the fixture.
  • Integrated build — pump, transfer, robot and inspection sections are assembled and tested as one automated adhesive dispensing system instead of separate units to be linked up on site.

Technical Support & Model Matching

As the manufacturer, Suzhou Veady Precision Glue Dispensing Systems Co., Ltd supports your project from selection through startup. Share your adhesive, substrate, throughput and accuracy target, and our engineers help match the right dispensing, potting, vacuum potting or material preparation configuration. We also guide installation and commissioning, process parameter setup, and fault troubleshooting, and provide factory-direct service and bulk supply for long-term production.

FAQ

Q1. Can this station be built around our own pack design?

Usually yes. Every unit is built around the workpiece, so the robot programme, pump and bead path are matched to your part rather than a fixed model. Send the drawing or 3D model, the pack weight and the seam that needs bonding. As adhesive dispensing equipment manufacturers we also tell you clearly what the configuration can and cannot reach before the order is placed.

Q2. What does the 3D bead inspection module check?

In an automated adhesive dispensing system the bead is the whole point, so the module reads the deposited bead in three dimensions during the cycle. Gaps, thin sections and misplaced material are flagged while the workpiece is still on the fixture, which matters on long enclosure seams where a defect found after curing means rework instead of a quick touch-up.

Q3. Can we run an adhesive with a mix ratio other than the standard?

The station is specified around your material, so a different ratio is a question of pump and metering head selection rather than a setting changed on the shop floor. Send the adhesive data sheet with the required ratio and shot size when you enquire. On an adhesive dispensing machine of this size, ratio changes are settled most reliably before the build rather than after it.

Q4. Can the station work alongside the equipment we already run?

It is normally installed as a dedicated cell for large assemblies rather than a replacement for everything on the floor. Smaller components can stay on your bench stations and short runs, while the robot cell takes the parts that need a programmed path, a steady rate and an inspected bead. Share your line layout and we will look at how the cell fits the flow around it.

Q5. What maintenance does the cell need between shifts?

Less than hand dispensing, but not none. Flush and protect the mixing section before a long stop, check the nozzle and mixing tube for wear, and keep the robot path and the inspection window clean. Most lines also check material level and feed pressure at the start of each shift. As the dispensing machine manufacturer, we set out the recommended daily and weekly checks with the cell.

Q6. Does the station need a separate material preparation system?

Feeding from the drum through to the metering head is already part of this station, so a separate unit is not normally required. If your adhesive needs heating, vacuum degassing or longer stirring before it reaches the head, we look at the material preparation side of our range with you at the specification stage.
